Let’s talk about J. Cole. So other than Kendrick, Cole is probably my favorite rapper. And i know what y’all bout to say, “oh this nigga so basic” and “this nigga don’t know hip hop” Mmm nah. Y’all just ain’t peep Cole and Kdot early like i did. A young nigga saw the potential, lol. But nah seriously i love Cole. And i don’t mean just 4YEO Cole and 2014 FHD Cole, i mean Truly yours Cole, Friday Night Lights Cole, just Cole in general. Your probably asking yourself what’s the point of this post. Really idek, i just wanted to talk about Cole. I feel like Cole, as an artist has evolved so much, but you can still see that he the same ol’ nigga. He is still very down to earth, still very reclusive, and still will bar niggas to death if he needs to. He has been very active lately though, he is likely gearing up to drop an album in the near future. If he where to drop say early June, what would be your expectations for it. Honestly I’m not sure because i did have expectations for 4YEO and it didn’t live up to them. But one thing i can say tho is that you know it’s gonna be amazing. 4YEO although getting a lot of praise for it’s message and style, was often criticized for its lack of lyrical execution. And being one of those critics, i expect only the best from him. But what do y’all think. Sorry if this post is very loose and all over the place. I was just going back and listening to Cole’s old records and felt like posting about him. So here you go. I’d also like to inform you that I’ll be dropping a 4 song EP in January so look out for that. Let me know y’all thoughts in the comments tho.
